Add On – Advent Calendar Additional Ornaments Sewing Pattern

Cut, assemble, and sew the backing, tree, and pocket part of your advent calendar as per the original instructions.

You can then mix and match the ornaments in the original Advent Calendar pattern with the bonus ornaments here. 

The quantities for each piece on the pattern are for one of every ornament. If you decide to mix and match and do several of some, you will need to multiply the quantities.

Use the same technique to assemble these bonus ornaments as in the main tutorial (stitching, hot glue gun or double-sided interfacing).

The colors used in the diagrams for each piece are marked, but you could substitute for any colors you wished.

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Upper Scissor Blade (silver)
• 1x Lower Scissor Blade (silver)
• 1x Upper Scissor Handle (red)
• 1x Lower Scissor Handle (red)
• 1x Bolt (black)

Attach your Upper and Lower Scissor Blades together

Add the Handles and the Bolt

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Body of sewing machine (yellow)
• 1x Bobbin compartment (light pink)
• 1x Balance Wheel (dark pink)
• 1x Arm of sewing machine (light pink) 
• 1x Small circle (yellow)
• 1x Big circle (dark pink)

Attach the bobby compartment and the arm onto the body of the sewing machine. 

Add the big circle and the balance wheel. 

Attach the small circle. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Body of the spaceship (light blue) 
• 1x Big circle (black)
• 1x Small circle (white)
• 1x Big fire (red)
• 1x Small fire (orange) 
• 1x Rectangle (light blue)
• 1x Spaceship (dark blue) 

Add the small circle onto the big one, center it. 

Attach the small fire onto the big fire. 

Add the spaceship (dark blue) onto the body of the spaceship (dark blue).

Attach the circles and the fire on the spaceship.

Add the rectangle onto the center of the spaceship and fire. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of the microscope (black) 
• 1x Ocular (black)
• 1x Stage (gray) 
• 1x Objective Lens (gray)
• 1x Body tube (gray) 
• 1x Nosepiece (black)
• 1x Stage clips (black)

Add the Body Tub and the stage onto the base.

Attach the ocular and the nosepiece onto the body tube. 

Add the stage clips onto the stage. 

Add the objective lens onto the nosepiece.

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Body of calculator (red) 
• 1x Screen (blue) 
• 18x Small buttons
• 2x Big buttons

Attach the buttons and the screen onto the calculator. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Body of the bulb (black)
• 1x Glass bulb (yellow)
• 1x each of the four Base pieces (grey) 

Add the glass bulb onto the body of the bulb.

Attach the 4 bases onto the body. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Body of the beaker (black)
• 1x Glass (white) 
• 1x Liquid (red)

Attach the glass onto the Body of the breaker. 

Add the liquid onto the glass breaker. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Exterior Glass (blue)
• 1x Interior Glass (white) 
• 1x Liquid (green)

Attach the interior glass onto the exterior glass.

Add the liquid onto the flask. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Spine (dark blue)
• 1x Front cover (blue)
• 1x Foot edge (brown)
• 1x Body of the book (blue)
• 1x Raised band (brown)
• 1x Title (brown)

Attach the front cover onto the body of the book.

Add the title, spine, and the foot edge. 

Add the raised band.

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Big circle (green)
• 1x Medium circle (yellow)
• 1x Small circle (green)
• 3x curved trapezoid (green)

Attach the medium circle onto large circle. 

Add the rest of the pieces (3x trapezoid and the small circle).

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Small window (white)
• 1x Big window (white)
• 2x Wheels (black)
• 2x Flowers for wheels (yellow)
• 1x Large flower (yellow)
• 1x Medium flower (yellow)
• 1x Base (blue)
• 1x Large decoration (green)
• 1x Small decoration (green)

Add the large decoration, small decoration, big window, small windows, and the wheels onto the base of the van, 

Attach the large flower on the left and the medium flower onto the right. 

Add the two smaller flowers onto the wheels. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of wand (dark brown)
• 1x Big wand (light brown)
• 1x Medium wand (dark brown)
• 1x Small wand (light brown)
• 1x Extra small wand (dark brown)

Add the big wand to the base of the wand. 

Add the Medium wand onto the base of the wand.

Attach the small wand onto the base of the wand, only covering the bottom of the medium wand.

Attach the extra small wand onto the base of the wand, only covering the bottom of the small wand. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of telephone booth (light blue)
• 5x Square (dark blue)
• 3x Square (white)
• 1x Large white rectangle (white)
• 1x Medium rectangle (dark blue)

Add all the pieces onto the telephone booth. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Light saber. 
• 1x Handgrip. 

Add the hand grip onto the Light saber. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Big circle (red)
• 1x Medium circle (black)
• 1x Small circle (white)
• 1x Big thunderbolt (black)
• 1x Small thunderbolt (yellow)

Attach the big (red) circle onto medium (black) circle.

Add the small (white) circle onto the medium (black) circle.

Attach the small thunderbolt onto the circles. 

Attach the big thunderbolt. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Big circle (red)
• 1x Medium circle (white)
• 1x Small circle (red)
• 1x Extra small circle (blue)
• 1x Star (white)

Attach the medium (white) circle onto the big circle (red) center it. 

Add the small circle (red) onto the other circle and center it.  

Add the extra small circle (blue) center it onto the small circle (red).

Attach the star onto the extra small circle (blue).

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base Comic ball (black)
• 1x Half circle (red)
• 1x Half circle (white) 
• 1x Extra small circle (white)
• 1x Small circle (black)

Attach the half circle (red) on top of the base of the comic ball and the half circle on the bottom of the base. 

NOTE – Leave a space between half circles. 

Add the small circle (black) in the space between half circles. 

Attach the extra small circle (white) onto the small circle (black).

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of mushroom (red)
• 1x Circle (white)
• 1x Head (light brown)
• 2x Eyes (dark brown)
• 2x Mushroom sides (white)

Attach onto the base, mushroom sides, white circle, and head. 

Add the eyes onto the head. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of earth (blue)
• 1x America continent (green)
• 1x Africa/Europe continent (green)
• 1x Antarctica continent (white)

Add the America continent to the left top of the base.

Attach the Africa/Europe continent aligning onto the right. 

Add the Antarctica continent aligning onto the bottom of the base. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of jersey (yellow)
• 2x Sleeves (green)
• 2x Small squares (yellow)
• 2x Big squares (yellow)
• 1x Center piece of jersey (green)

Add the sleeves and the center piece onto the base of the jersey. 

Attach the big squares onto the center of the jersey and the small circles onto the sleeves.

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of stick (brown)
• 1x Handgrip (black)
• 1x Heel of the stick (black)
• 1x Base of the puck (black)
• 1x Top of the puck (dark grey) 
• 1x Shining of puck (light grey)

Add the top of the puck onto the puck. 

Attach the shining onto the top of the puck.

Attach the heel on the bottom of the stick. 

Add the handgrip on top of the stick.

Place together the stick and the puck. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of the Toy Block (main color)
• 1x Small rectangle (color 1)
• 1x Big rectangle (color 2)
• 8x Cylinder (color 1)
• 8x Circle (color 2)

Add the small rectangle on the side of the base.

Attach the big rectangle on top of the base.

Add a circle on the top of the cylinder. 

Repeat with the 8 cylinders. 

Add the 8 cylinders. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of hat (blue)
• 1x Crown (blue)

Attach the crown onto the base of the hat. 

OPTIONAL- add stars or a face with stitching or paint.

Pick three colors to use. We used black, red, and yellow. 

Cut the following:

• 3x Base of template (1 x 3 different colors)
• 2x Letter B (1x 2 different colors)
• 2x Letter A (1x 2 different colors)
• 2x Letter M (1x 2 different colors)
• 2x Exclamation sign (1x 2 different colors)

Add the first layer of the template onto the base, moving it a little to the right. 

Add the second layer of the template onto the base, moving it a little to the right.

Attach the letter B, A, M, and the exclamation sign onto the template. 

Add the second layer of the letters B, A, M, and the exclamation sign onto the last layer. 

NOTE – Move the second layer down, so you make a shadow. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base of Game cube (black)
• 27x squares (mix of yellow, blue, red, and green)

Attach each number in order, as you see on the image. 

• 1x Circle (yellow)
• 1x Ring (green)

Attach the circle inside the ring.

NOTE – Remember to leave one part of the ring hidden with the circle. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Base (brown)
• 1x Laces (white)
• 2x Rectangle (white)

Attach the stripes on the center of the base. 

Add rectangle onto the base.

Cut each of your pieces out

• 1x Circle (black)
• 10x Pentagons (white)

Add each pentagon as you see in the image, start aligning the pieces with the contour of the circle.

Cut each of your pieces out

• 9x Rectangles (white)
• 1x Circle (black)

Add the rectangles as you see in the image. 

Cut each of your pieces out

• 8x Stripes (orange)
• 1x Circle (black)

Start attaching the stripes from the left to right, aligning the borders of the stripes with the circle. 

Cut each of your pieces out.

For the baseball:

• 1x Base (black)
• 1x Center of ball (white)
• 1x Top ball (white)
• 1x Bottom ball (white)
• 11x Stripes (top – red)
• 11x Stripes (bottom – red) 

Attach the bottom, top onto the base, aligning borders. 

Add the center onto the base. 

Add the lines of stripes (bottom and top) 

For tennis ball, do the same but with yellow and white.
