Project OverviewFabric Baskets
Difficulty Level = Beginner
Sew these quick and easy reversible fabric baskets. There are four larger sizes to choose from with four height options creating sixteen size options. There are also three smaller sizes to choose from with three height options creating nine size options. They are perfect for storing sewing supplies or even your little one’s toys. They fold flat for easy storage.
Our Facebook group is a great place to get help, share your tips and creations! We are a friendly bunch, and we love to help and see what you have made.
Please read the full instructions before getting started.
Wash, dry, and press your fabric before starting your project. A bit of prep now prevents shrinking and means your garment will stay the same size you made it.
Never leave a child or baby unattended or allow to sleep in a garment made from one of our patterns with ties, snaps, buttons, or anything they could remove, choke on, or get caught on. Always use caution if you are unsure. We love our patterns, but we love your bundles of joy more!

Tools needed are, sewing machine, pins, scissors, tape measure or ruler and an optional walking foot.
Printing Your PatternSettings
The pattern is a separate download. Choose either the US letter paper, A4 paper, or A0 paper size based on the printer you wish to use. If you are in the US or Canada then your printer will likely use US letter paper. Other regions normally use A4 paper. Some people prefer to print their patterns at a print shop: A0 is best in this case.
Print at 100%.
On the second page, you will find a 1-inch and a 3-inch square test box. Print this page first, on its own, and measure these squares.
Once you are happy that the test box is accurate, print the rest of the pattern pages.
Please follow this video for information and assistance on assembling this pattern.
Also, please note that some Rebecca Page patterns and projects also come with cut files and a printable design page which you can use to plan your project if you wish. These are provided in a separate section below to avoid any confusion!

0.1Interfacing
Using the manufacturer’s instructions, apply the fusible fleece interfacing onto the wrong side of all Main and Lining Side pieces.
1 . Sides1.1Place two Main Sides right sides together. Pin along one side edge, including the angle toward the bottom point.
1.3Clip the corner.
1.5Repeat steps 1.1 to 1.4 with a second set of Main Side pieces.
1.6Place the two pieces right sides together, matching the center point, corners, and top edge. Pin.
Continue pinning in between these points as needed.
1.9Fold the top edge ½ inch to the wrong side. Press.
NOTE – This will now be one Basket piece.
1.10Repeat steps 1.1 to 1.9 with the Side Lining pieces.
2 . Assembling Basket2.1Place the Basket Lining inside the Main Basket, wrong sides together, matching the corner seams. Pin.
2.2Continue pinning in between corners as needed.
2.3Stitch all the way around the top edge, ¼ inch from the top.
TIP – Stitch slowly to prevent the Main and Lining fabrics from shifting. Using a walking foot here will also help. It will feed the top and bottom layers through the machine at the same time, which will prevent them from shifting.
2.4OPTIONAL – Stitch another row of topstitching ¼ inch from first row.
NOTE – This is also a great place to add a decorative stitch! Have fun with it.
2.5OPTIONAL – Fold the top edge of the basket back 1-2 inches.
NOTE – If you are folding over the top edge this will change the finished height of the Basket.
TIP – The Basket is fully reversible so you can turn it around to mix it up as preferred.
Your Basket is finished!
