- Your Rebecca Page pattern

Wash, dry, and press your fabric before starting your project. A bit of prep now prevents shrinking and means your garment will stay the same size you made it.
Never leave a child or baby unattended or allow to sleep in a garment made from one of our patterns with ties, snaps, buttons, or anything they could remove, choke on, or get caught on. Always use caution if you are unsure. We love our patterns, but we love your bundles of joy more!

The table below shows how to calculate your measurement (in INCHES). Use this as a guideline to calculate the number of inches required to adjust the pattern pieces by.

1 . Trace Your Pattern Piece1.1
Take your pattern piece and draw a line, parallel to the hem, halfway through the front and back curves of your raglan sleeve pattern piece.
1.2Place your sleeve pattern piece onto a large sheet of paper.
Starting above the sleeve, draw a line parallel to the grainline, down through the full length of the sleeve, and extending below it.
This is the balance line. We will use this to keep everything aligned while adjusting.
1.3Cut across the line you drew in step 1.1.
Line up the top of the sleeve to the balance line and tape in place.
1.4Extend the balance line from the top sleeve, meeting the line at the bottom of the sheet.
2 . OPTION Adding Length2.0You will need to spread the sleeve piece apart to add length.
2.1Measure from the top pattern piece down, using your calculated measurement, and tape the bottom panel in place. Keep the panel aligned to the balance line.
2.2Draw around the sleeve pattern piece. Remove the traced sleeve piece.
Your drawn sleeve will be an odd shape. Draw a dotted line smoothing out the curve.
2.3Cut out your new sleeve following the dotted line. Your raglan sleeve height adjustment is now complete.
I recommend sewing a muslin using your adjusted pattern pieces. This will help you check the fit before sewing your final garment.
3 . OPTIONAL Removing Length3.0You will need to overlap the sleeve piece to remove length.
3.1Take the cut piece and overlap it, using your measurement.
Tape in place.
3.2Draw around the sleeve pattern piece. Remove the traced sleeve piece.
Your drawn sleeve will be an odd shape. Draw a dotted line smoothing out the curve.
3.3Cut out your new sleeve following the dotted line. Your raglan sleeve height adjustment is now complete.
I recommend sewing a muslin using your adjusted pattern pieces. This will help you check the fit before sewing your final garment.
