Our Facebook group is a great place to get help, share your tips and creations! We are a friendly bunch, and we love to help and see what you have made.
Please read the full instructions before getting started.
Wash, dry, and press your fabric before starting your project. A bit of prep now prevents shrinking and means your garment will stay the same size you made it.
Never leave a child or baby unattended or allow to sleep in a garment made from one of our patterns with ties, snaps, buttons, or anything they could remove, choke on, or get caught on. Always use caution if you are unsure. We love our patterns, but we love your bundles of joy more!

Printing Your PatternSettings
The pattern is a separate download. Choose either the US letter paper, A4 paper, or A0 paper size based on the printer you wish to use. If you are in the US or Canada then your printer will likely use US letter paper. Other regions normally use A4 paper. Some people prefer to print their patterns at a print shop: A0 is best in this case.
Print at 100%.
On the second page, you will find a 1-inch and a 3-inch square test box. Print this page first, on its own, and measure these squares.
Once you are happy that the test box is accurate, print the rest of the pattern pages.
Please follow this video for information and assistance on assembling this pattern.
Also, please note that some Rebecca Page patterns and projects also come with cut files and a printable design page which you can use to plan your project if you wish. These are provided in a separate section below to avoid any confusion!

0.3Interfacing
Use the manufacturer’s instructions to apply Interfacing to the to the wrong side of the following pieces: Pattern Base, Top Pocket, 2nd Pocket, Top of Zippered Pocket, and Bottom of Zippered Pocket.
1 . Zip Pocket1.1If you are familiar with making double fold bias tape, please use this. If not, don’t worry, just follow along here!
Fold the Zip End in half lengthwise wrong sides together. Press.
1.2Open the Zip End and fold the two long sides into the middle. Press.
1.3Refold the Zip End along the center edge, folding the raw edges to the inside. Press.
1.4Place a couple of hand stitches into the end of the zip to keep the sides together to make it easier to stitch in place.
1.5Place this stitched end inside a Zip End piece. Pin in place and sew with a straight stitch using about ⅛ inch seam allowance.
TIP – Unzip the zip, so the zip head is nowhere near your stitching.
1.6Place this over the bottom of Zipped Pocket to measure exactly where the second zip end needs to be sewn.
1.7With zipper closed, trim zip to correct length, pin zip into the second Zip End piece and stitch.
1.8Trim sides of Zip End pieces to match the width of zip.
1.9Align zip to Zip Pocket Top folded edge. Pin and topstitch using a ⅛ inch seam allowance.
1.10Align the other zip edge with Zip Pocket Bottom folded edge. Pin and topstitch using a ⅛ inch seam allowance.
1.11Place ‘Back of Zipped Pocket’ behind this full piece you have created, matching the rounded and bottom edges wrong sides together.
NOTE – If you used a narrower zip, you will need to trim a little off the Zip Pocket Back top edge so that it matches the height of the zipped pocket you have created.
1.12Open the bias tape and place it wrong side up on the top edge of the Zip Pocket matching the raw edges. Pin.
1.13Stitch using a ¼ inch seam allowance along the fold of the bias tape.
1.14Fold the bias tape around to the wrong side of the Zip Pocket and pin to enclose all edges. Topstitch using a ⅛ inch seam allowance.
2 . Flat Pockets2.1Topstitch the folded edge of Top Pocket about ¼ inch from the folded edge.
TIP – To add a personal touch, the Pockets can be finished with decorative stitches, decorative trim, or bias binding.
2.2Topstitch the folded edge of 2nd Pocket about ¼ inch from the folded edge.
2.3Place 2nd pocket on top of Top Pocket.
2.4Mark the middle of 2nd Pocket at the top and bottom, join the two points with a line ruled with a disappearing ink pen or tailors chalk.
2.5Place a row of stitching down the line, joining 2nd pocket to Top Pocket, and dividing 2nd Pocket into two pockets. At the beginning and end make some backstitches.
2.6Place on top of one of the Pattern Bases, aligning the bottom curves.
3 . Adding Snap3.1If you have not already done so, mark the placement of the snap using the pattern piece.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to add one side of the snap through ONLY the front of the Zip Pocket at the marking.
3.2Place the Zip Pocket onto the Flat Pockets, right sides facing up. If you have not already done so, mark the placement of the snap using the pattern piece.
4 . Strap4.1Fold Strap in half lengthwise.
4.2Stitch the long and the curved short side using a ¼ inch seam allowance.
4.3Trim the corners.
4.4Turn the Strap right side out and press.
4.5Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to add other side of the Snap through both layers of Strap at the Snap Placement marking.
4.6Close Snap. Align the middle of the Strap Short Edge to the middle of Base top edge and pin.
4.7Baste using a max ¼ inch seam allowance.
TIP – Make some backstitches at both ends to secure the Strap.
TIP – Basting is just like normal stitching except the stitches need to be long and loose so that they can be removed later, if needed. Stitch within the seam allowance, so that the basting stitches are not seen in the final garment, while keeping the stitches loose enough to pull out just in case they are visible. The purpose is to hold a piece of fabric in place until that section is properly sewn. Set the machine to a long loose stitch. Test it on a piece of fabric first to make sure that the stitches can easily be removed. Do not backstitch at either end. Leave the ends loose, with approximately 1 inch of thread tails at either end of the stitching.
5 . Adding Elastic5.1Place the Elastic pieces in place at the markings.
5.2Baste using a max ¼ inch seam allowance.
TIP – Make some backstitches at both ends to secure the Elastic.
5.3Fold the loose middle of the elastic into a fold to keep it out of the way, and either clip or pin in place. This will ensure the elastic straps are not caught in the sewing in the next step.
6 . Adding the Back Panel6.1Place the second Base piece on top of your organizer, right sides together, matching all the raw edges. Pin.
6.2Stitch from center of elastic on top left, around the whole border, until the right hand edge of elastic on top right, using a ½” seam allowance.
TIP – Shorten stitch length to assist stitching the curve, and to create a stable seam.
6.3Trim the seam allowance. Be very careful around the corner curves, trimming away as much as possible, without affecting the strength of this seam.
TIP – Trim each layer separately to create the least possible bulk in the seams.
6.4Turn your organizer right sides out and remove pins from the elastics.
TIP – Use a blunt object, eg. a chopstick to poke out the corners.
Press organizer from the back.
6.5Open the Snap. Pin the gap close and topstitch it using a ⅛ inch seam allowance.
NOTE – Do not stitch through the Strap while it is snapped.
